Make 100 Dollars Doing What You Love

Posted by Shawn on April 16, 2009

Regardless of whether you currently have a job or are unemployed as of the moment, you can try this.

The question: Can you make 100 dollars doing what you love?

There is no time limit on this; it doesn’t have to be done in a day but you should set a goal for how long you will give yourself to make the $100 so it doesn’t drag on for years.

Pick something you love doing, and determine how you can make $100 doing it.  Not $100 per day or hour, but $100 total even if it takes days or weeks.

For example, you love to sing (and hopefully are decent at it).  You can make $100 by singing at a friend’s event, winning a singing contest, joining a choir which will pay you (even if it $10 per Sunday that works).  You can cut and sell a CD, provide background for a friend’s movie or school assignment and get paid, or even head downtown with your guitair and start singing on a street corner.  The idea is to be creative and find a way to make the money.

The purpose of this exercise?  To show that you can really make money doing what you love.  It’s not going to pay well initially, but if you can make $100 why can’t you make $200, or $500, or $1000.  You need to be innovative, creative, and able to sell your idea.

It sure beats complaining that you hate your job!
